PROPOSAL Prepared for Content 10x · September 2026

Website and blog proposal: three options.

The Content 10x blog holds over 350 posts in one continuous list, with a search box as the only way in. This proposal sets out three ways to fix that, from a focused blog restructure to a fully custom website, with the same underlying content structure in all three, so nothing is ever done twice.

The blog as a visitor meets it today: one long list, no grouping, no way to browse a topic.
01 The problem

What a visitor meets today.

Podcast episode write ups, long form guides and industry commentary all sit in the same undifferentiated list. A reader who came for B2B podcasting has no way to see only podcasting. A reader who came from a Google result has no obvious second thing to read.

01

Search is the only way in

You have to already know what you are looking for before the blog can help you.

02

A fixed popular strip

Hand picked, rarely updated, and the same for everyone who lands on the page.

03

No categories or formats

A 40 minute podcast write up looks exactly like a 3 minute news post.

04

Nothing to build on

No hub pages, no related posts, and no next step for the reader.

The same problem shows up in search. When 350 posts share no structure, search engines have nothing to tell them which topics this site is genuinely an authority on. The signal is spread thin across everything instead of concentrated where it should be.

02 Shared foundation

The content structure, agreed once.

Every option starts from the same piece of work: an audit of all 350+ posts, and a niche structure agreed with you. This is the part that actually fixes the problem. The rest is how far the site around it changes.

How the audit works

Every post gets a decision, with a reason.

All 350+ posts are exported with 12 months of performance data, then reviewed against three tests: is it still relevant, is the quality up to today's standard, and how badly has it dated. Each post is marked Keep, Update, Merge or Remove, and posts carrying meaningful backlinks or traffic are flagged so no URL is ever removed without a deliberate redirect.

05 In all three options

Nothing loses its rankings.

The main risk in any restructure is losing the search traffic and backlinks that 350 posts have built up. That risk is handled the same way in all three options: no URL ever simply disappears.

06 From your side

What I need from you.

Access
  • Admin or editor access to WordPress.
  • Read access to Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • A staging site if one exists, or approval to work on the live site after a full backup, for Option 1.
Materials for Options 2 and 3
  • Brand assets: logo files, fonts, colours, imagery and any brand guidelines.
  • A list of must have pages and integrations.
Decisions
  • Sign off on the niche and tag structure at the end of the audit.
  • Sign off on the keep list: the 150 to 200 posts that stay.
  • Sign off on the design direction before build begins, for Options 2 and 3.
People
  • One point of contact for quick answers and feedback, ideally within two working days.
  • For Option 3, whoever publishes each week available for the Week 2 content model conversation and the Week 4 training.
07 Scope

What is and is not included.

Included in all options

  • Everything listed in the option chosen.
  • Up to two rounds of revisions per phase, or per design stage for Options 2 and 3.
  • Two weeks of post launch support.
  • A written handover so nothing depends on me afterwards.

Not included in any option

  • Writing new content, or fully rewriting existing posts.
  • Photography, video and custom illustration.
  • Hosting, domains and paid plugin or software licences, agreed with you first.
  • Ongoing maintenance or SEO work after the post launch support period.
How the options fit together

Starting with Option 1 fixes the biggest problem quickly and at the lowest risk. The audit, the niche structure and the tagging it produces carry straight into a full website later. Options 2 and 3 include that same work, so nothing is ever paid for twice. Each option also stands entirely on its own.

Thank you for considering this.

I am happy to adjust the scope or the phases to suit your priorities, including mixing parts of one option into another. If it would help, I can walk through any of the three on a call and show the blog structure applied to your real posts.
